Tips & Tricks, Weddings

Must read for summer brides! Check if you’re ready for the heat with these 20 points.

The Venue

  • Check with the venue in advance to see if the air conditioning is working properly.
  • If the site is located among greenery and trees, you are in luck. If not, consider installing tents and umbrellas.
  • A must-have for summer weddings are fans or umbrellas that will save you from the heat and at the same time become a nice gift for guests.
  • If possible, consider activities that will help cope with the hot weather: a sorbet station or a refreshment bar.

TIMING AND PROGRAM

  • Discuss the program with the presenter again. Reduce the number of activities in the heat.
  • If the wedding is outdoors, start the ceremony and dinner when the sun is less active (from 16:00).
  • Don’t forget to supply your guests with fans

THE COUPLE

  • If you haven’t bought a dress yet, choose light, natural, flowy fabrics. The same applies to linen.
  • Be sure to bring a spare shirt for the groom. Or better yet, two.
  • Don’t forget to have replacement shoes and plasters in case your main shoes start to chafe.
  • Talk to your stylist about how to maintain your makeup throughout the day and what products you should have in your makeup bag.
  • Check with the florist to see if the bouquet can withstand such weather and how you can extend its life.

  • Don’t forget to bring matting wipes and thermal water for you and all guests.

HOW TO HELP YOURSELF?

  • Be prepared that your body swells more in hot weather. Start your day with a cool shower and lymphatic drainage workout.
  • On the eve of the wedding, do not eat salty foods, drink moderate amounts of water and eat a balanced diet.
  • Discuss the location for the photo shoot with the photographer. Choose cool places for shooting and do not stretch the timing for it.
  • Don’t forget about access to water during the photo shoot. Take water with you or check that you can definitely buy it nearby.

REMEMBER THAT NOTHING WILL RUIN YOUR DAY

Don’t stress about the weather forecast. Check yourself with the checklist, do everything you can to protect yourself and let the situation go.

Whatever the weather, your wedding day will be beautiful!
